Squirrels is for 4 and 5 year old boys and girls. They belong to the youngest section of the Scouting Family. You can join Squirrels in either the September or January after your 4th birthday.
Squirrels is very popular and a waiting list is often applied, therefore we encourage parents to register with us after the child’s 3rd birthday. To register your child please email Natalie at hillsboroughsquirrels@gmail.com
Squirrels meet in “Dreys” (just as Cubs meet in “Packs”) and enjoy games, crafts, stories and lots of fun under the guidance of an adult leadership team.
The Squirrel programme is built around 4 themes:
- I’m Active
- I’m Caring
- I’m Friendly
- I’m Learning
Squirrels earn badges for completing activities in these areas, and also for good attendance.
