1st Hillsborough Scout Group is a unit within The Scout Association and is based in the village of Hillsborough, Northern Ireland.

1st Hillsborough Scout Group helps children – boys and girls – and young adults reach their full potential. We develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, communication, self-motivation and cultural awareness.
1st Hillsborough Scouts celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2015 and now has around 200 members, aged 4 to 17 years. Our longest serving leader has been with us for 65 years!
What do we do? Team games, entertainment, community service, survival skills, first aid, climbing, kayaking, camping and expeditions. And we have fun!
Scouting is about adventure – doing new things, meeting new friends. As kids move through our sections, the challenges step up. Our Explorers have the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme – some of our members have completed their DofE expeditions by canoe in Haliburton Scout Reserve, Canada.
