1st Hillsborough Scout Group Celebrates Chief Scout Gold Award Achievements
Hillsborough, January 2024 – In a momentous celebration of dedication and achievement, the 1st Hillsborough Scout Group proudly announces that 11 of its Scouts are set to receive the prestigious Chief Scout Gold Award tomorrow night at the upcoming Scouts NI presentation night at Belfast City Hall. These Scouts, alongside 77 others from across Northern Ireland, will be officially recognized for attaining the highest award in the Scout section.
This remarkable event, scheduled for tomorrow night, marks a significant milestone in the lives of these young individuals and the 1st Hillsborough Scout Group. It is a testament to their unwavering commitment, skill, and the adventurous spirit that Scouting embodies. All 11 Scouts from Hillsborough have not only achieved this honour but have also previously received the ‘Chief Scout Silver Award’ during their time in the younger aged Cub section. This continuous journey of excellence over the last decade highlights extraordinary dedication to the Scouting movement.
The Chief Scout Gold Award is a symbol of perseverance, leadership, and community engagement, reflecting the core values that Scouts across the world strive to uphold. For these Scouts to earn the top awards in two consecutive sections is an outstanding achievement and sets an inspiring example for their peers.
The leadership teams of all sections in 1st Hillsborough Scout Group, along with the entire Scouting community, is thrilled to celebrate this fantastic achievement. We are immensely proud of our Scouts for their hard work and dedication.
